March 4th to 8th Jefferson Park celebrated Dr. Seuss as a way of implementing the Read Across America Initiative. Students and families were encouraged to participate everyday with a new challenge. From crazy sock day, to mix match day to green eggs and ham day; the children got into the spirit and were very excited about reading. At the end of the week we had a big celebration with Cat and the Hat cupcakes and some of the faculty and staff dressed up as famous Dr. Seuss characters. The whole experience strengthened our sense of community.
